Former England goalkeeper Mary Earps has confirmed she will leave Paris Saint-Germain Féminine when her contract expires on June 30, bringing an end to her two-year spell in France.
The 33-year-old joined PSG in 2024 and went on to make 57 appearances for the club, helping them secure a third-place finish in the French top flight last season. Despite enjoying success in Paris, Earps is now preparing for the next stage of her career.
In a farewell message shared by PSG, Earps described her time in France as an unforgettable experience that helped her grow both professionally and personally. She reflected on playing alongside world-class teammates, competing in new environments, and creating memories that she will cherish long after leaving the club.
A return to the Women’s Super League appears increasingly likely, with London City Lionesses reportedly leading the race for her signature. The ambitious club, owned by Michele Kang, enjoyed a strong first season in the WSL and views the potential signing of Earps as a major statement of intent.
Before moving to PSG, Earps established herself as one of the leading goalkeepers in women’s football during a successful five-year spell with Manchester United Women. She played a key role in the club’s rise and helped secure its first major trophy, the Women’s FA Cup.
On the international stage, Earps earned 53 caps for England Women’s National Football Team, starring in the Lionesses’ triumph at UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 and their run to the final of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Although she has since retired from international football, her expected return to England is shaping up to be one of the most notable moves of the summer transfer window.
