Iron Maiden have been named among the 2026 inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but they will not be present at the ceremony scheduled for November.
Their manager, Rod Smallwood, explained that the band already has tour commitments in Australia around the same time, making it impractical for them to attend the event in Los Angeles. He emphasized that the group prioritizes their fans, assuring ticket holders that all scheduled shows in Australia and New Zealand will go ahead as planned.
Although the statement doesn’t completely rule out a representative appearing on their behalf, the band’s concert dates set just before and after the ceremony make attendance highly unlikely. Fans in Australasia were reassured that the tour will continue uninterrupted as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations.
In an earlier message, the band expressed gratitude for the recognition, noting that while awards are appreciated, their primary focus has always been their connection with fans.
The induction ceremony is set for November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and will later be broadcast on ABC and Disney+. Other artists joining the 2026 class include Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Joy Division / New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross, and the Wu-Tang Clan.
