Lindsey Vonn Answers Whether She’s ‘Entertaining’ A Skiing Comeback After Olympics Crash.

"I never got a final run. I never got to say goodbye," Vonn told TODAY's Craig Melvin.

Lindsey Vonn says she’s uncertain about what comes next in her career but didn’t rule out another comeback. In an interview with Craig Melvin on TODAY, she reflected on her love for ski racing and the lingering feeling of not getting a proper final run.

The Olympic champion suffered a serious leg injury during the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics 2026, just days after another crash left her with a torn ACL. Despite previously retiring in 2019 and returning in 2024, she admitted the latest दुर्घ (crash) disrupted her chance to walk away on her own terms.

While Vonn acknowledged she can move on from the sport, she hinted that the idea of “one more run” still appeals to her though she remains undecided. When asked directly, she confirmed she is, to some extent, considering another comeback, even if her family isn’t thrilled about it.

Currently focused on recovery, Vonn undergoes an intense daily routine that includes physical therapy, gym sessions, and time in a hyperbaric chamber. Although her father has publicly stated her career is over, she joked that such remarks might actually motivate her to return.

She also opened up about feeling uneasy that her Olympic crash could overshadow what had otherwise been a remarkable comeback season. Vonn emphasized she doesn’t want a brief moment to define a career filled with historic achievements, though she admitted she still struggles personally to move past the incident.
