How Paige Bueckers has Dallas Wings rising in team value.

The Dallas Wings are now one of the world's most valuable franchises.

Paige Bueckers has already transformed the Dallas Wings’ future, both on and off the court. Selected first overall, she arrived as one of the most eagerly awaited No. 1 picks in recent years. While her following may not quite match Caitlin Clark’s phenomenon-level popularity, Bueckers still commands a massive fan base capable of reshaping how a franchise is valued.

That impact is already showing. Forbes recently released its first-ever ranking of the most valuable women’s sports teams worldwide. The New York Liberty topped the list at an estimated $400 million valuation, while the Wings placed 10th overall—tied with Chelsea of the Women’s Super League. Dallas is reported to generate around $15 million in revenue, boosted significantly by the WNBA’s new $2.2 billion media rights deal spread across 11 years.

With more money flowing into the league and a new generation of highly marketable stars such as Bueckers, Clark, and Angel Reese, Forbes projects increased investor interest in the WNBA before franchise values surge even further.

Among WNBA teams specifically, the Wings rank sixth in valuation, a position expected to rise as Bueckers continues to establish herself. Earlier reports noted that no team experienced a larger spike in social media valuation than Dallas, largely driven by her arrival.

Sustained on-court success could further elevate the franchise’s worth. The Las Vegas Aces, winners of three of the last four championships, rank as the fourth-most valuable women’s sports team globally. The Liberty, currently No. 1, are the same team that prevented the Aces from achieving a four-peat.

Top franchises tend to be built around star power. New York boasts Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu, while Las Vegas is led by A’ja Wilson, who has captured four of the last six MVP awards. Matching Wilson’s dominance will be a tall task for Bueckers, but it remains within reach provided the Wings take another step forward as a team.

Dallas is also positioned well for the future after winning the 2026 WNBA Draft lottery, giving them another first overall pick. While that draft may not feature a talent on Bueckers’ level, it still offers the opportunity to add a key piece to support her.

With rising revenues, growing star appeal, and valuable draft assets, the Dallas Wings appear poised for continued growth as Bueckers helps usher the franchise into a new era.
