Paige Bueckers’ Dancing Video Is Catching Attention.

One fan joked that Paige Bueckers’ dance moves looked like something “straight out of a Midwest dad.”

Bueckers has been in the spotlight throughout 2025, beginning with the WNBA Draft, where she was taken first overall by the Dallas Wings. The former UConn standout quickly justified her top-pick status, posting averages of 19.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.6 steals. Her impressive debut season earned her an All-Star selection and the Rookie of the Year award.

The Wings guard has remained a headline-maker during the WNBA offseason. She recently attended USA Basketball training camp alongside Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark, Cameron Brink and Rickea Jackson as part of preparations for the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup.

This week, however, attention shifted for a lighter reason. Bueckers is set to compete in the 3-on-3 women’s league Unrivaled in January, and her team, Breeze BC, posted an Instagram video promoting the roster.

In the clip, Breeze players including Brink, Jackson, Kate Martin, Aari McDonald and Dominique Malonga were shown dancing. Bueckers’ moves quickly became the focus, with one fan quipping that her style was “straight out of a Midwest dad.” Others piled on with playful reactions such as, “I just KNOW Paige can do better,” and, “How did they agree to this, especially Paige?”

Additional comments included, “Lil Paigey… what’s happening there,” and, “Paige just be dancing in TikToks she can only do like 15-second spurts before she gets nervous.” Another simply pleaded, “Paige please.”

Bueckers herself joined in on the joke, commenting under the post, “This was supposed to stay in the drafts.”

Whether she likes it or not, the video is now public and fans are clearly enjoying it.

Unrivaled Season 2 tips off on January 5, with most games scheduled in Miami and select matchups in Philadelphia. The season will run through March.
