The United States has unveiled its roster for the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025, with all seven individual gold medalists from 2023 set to return.
That group includes sprint stars Noah Lyles and Sha’Carri Richardson, hurdler Grant Holloway, shot putters Ryan Crouser and Chase Jackson, pole vault world champion Katie Moon, and discus winner Laulauga Tausaga each securing their places through wild card entries as defending champions.
Additional wild cards were granted to Jacory Patterson (400m), Cordell Tinch (110m hurdles), and Brittany Brown (200m) as Diamond League winners, giving Team USA the ability to enter up to four athletes in those disciplines.
Among the other big names are Olympic gold medalists Cole Hocker (1500m/5000m double), Rai Benjamin (400m hurdles), Masai Russell (100m hurdles), and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, who will focus on the flat 400m in Tokyo. Tara Davis-Woodhall headlines the long jump squad. As usual, athletes chosen in individual events are also eligible for relay duty.
