A 2024 WNBA rookie card signed by Caitlin Clark has sold for an astonishing $660,000 (£491,116), more than doubling the previous record for a women’s sports card. The card was auctioned by Fanatics Collect, a memorabilia and trading card company, where bidding opened at $336,000 before sharply rising to its final price.
This unique Rookie Royalty WNBA Flawless Platinum Logowoman card includes Clark’s blue-ink signature, a game-worn patch from her Indiana Fever jersey, and an image of her in action dribbling with a bloodied shin. It also features the handwritten note “769 pts and counting,” a nod to the scoring record she broke as a rookie.
Clark, a generational talent who rose to national fame during her NCAA career with Iowa, continues to generate massive fan interest in the WNBA. She previously held the record for the highest-selling women’s sports card, with a $366,000 sale in March.
So far, 14 of her cards have been sold at public auctions, each fetching far more than her approximate $80,000 WNBA salary. The 23-year-old, who was drafted first overall by the Indiana Fever in 2024 and went on to be named Rookie of the Year, remains sidelined with a groin injury sustained on July 15. The team has not yet announced when she’ll return to the court.
Since entering the WNBA, Clark has shattered several records, including most assists in a single game and in a season. Her star power, built during her NCAA championship runs and all-time Division I scoring record, continues to grow in the professional ranks.
