Denver Broncos inside linebacker Alex Singleton is now four months post-surgery after undergoing a procedure to repair a torn ACL. Looking ahead, the veteran expects to be “ready to go” for the 2025 season in another five months.
“At the 9-month mark,” Singleton told 9NEWS’ Mike Klis during Super Bowl festivities in New Orleans on Thursday. “There’s no rush. That’s the best part about getting hurt early. So I’ll be ready to go by the time the season rolls around.”
Singleton sustained the knee injury on Sept. 22 during Denver’s victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, concluding his sixth NFL season with 31 total tackles, one quarterback hit, and an interception. He underwent surgery on Oct. 15.
At 31, Singleton remains under contract for the 2025 season with a manageable $6.913 million cap hit and is expected to retain his starting role assuming no setbacks. However, the Broncos will need to find him a new inside linebacker partner, as Cody Barton and Justin Strnad are set to hit free agency in March. Pro Football Focus recently identified Denver as a “potential landing spot” for Raiders ILB Robert Spillane once free agency begins.
