Legendary German heavy metal band Accept is back in the spotlight with their latest studio album, delivering what founding guitarist Wolf Hoffmann calls “a good dose of fresh, heavy.” The yet-untitled release marks another milestone in the band’s over four-decade-long career and reaffirms their enduring influence in the metal world.
In a recent interview, Hoffmann shared insights into the creative process behind the new album, expressing enthusiasm about pushing the band’s sound into new territory while staying true to their roots.
“We didn’t want to just repeat ourselves,” Hoffmann said. “This album has all the classic Accept trademarks—twin guitars, pounding riffs, and powerful vocals—but there’s also a fresh energy to it. It’s heavy, it’s dynamic, and it’s honest. That’s what we aimed for: a good dose of fresh, heavy metal.”
Accept has long been celebrated for their signature blend of anthemic choruses and aggressive riffing, and the upcoming album continues that legacy. According to Hoffmann, fans can expect a combination of fast-paced bangers, mid-tempo stompers, and a few surprises that showcase the band’s growth and maturity.
Recording took place in Nashville with longtime producer Andy Sneap, who has worked with the band since their 2010 comeback album Blood of the Nations. The chemistry between the band and Sneap remains strong, with Hoffmann crediting him for capturing the raw essence of Accept’s sound while refining their sonic delivery.
“Andy really knows how to bring out the best in us,” Hoffmann explained. “He pushes us to be better, to dig deeper. Every album with him has had its own vibe, and this one feels more aggressive and melodic at the same time.”
Accept’s current lineup—featuring vocalist Mark Tornillo, guitarists Wolf Hoffmann and Uwe Lulis, bassist Martin Motnik, and drummer Christopher Williams—has remained solid over the past few years. Their chemistry, both live and in the studio, shines through in the new material.
Hoffmann also acknowledged the fans’ role in keeping Accept’s flame alive. “We owe everything to the fans. Their loyalty, their passion—it’s what drives us. This album is for them, and we can’t wait to play these songs live.”
While the official release date and title of the album have yet to be announced, the band is gearing up for an extensive world tour in late 2025, with festival appearances and headlining dates across Europe, North America, and South America already in the works.
With decades of metal mastery under their belt and no signs of slowing down, Accept continues to stand tall as a force in the genre. As Hoffmann put it, “As long as we’ve got something to say—and riffs to play—we’re not going anywhere.
