Three-star defensive lineman Ayden Cain, a standout prospect in the Class of 2026, has reaffirmed his commitment to Duke University, extending his verbal pledge through National Signing Day. Cain, who has been committed to the Blue Devils since August 2024, made the decision to continue with Duke, putting an end to rumors of potential interest from other top-tier programs.

The announcement, made earlier this week, solidified Cain’s position as one of the key cornerstones of Duke’s future defensive line. The 6-foot-4, 265-pound athlete has gained national attention for his powerful frame and quick burst off the line, making him a coveted recruit among several high-profile college programs. However, Cain’s loyalty to Duke remains steadfast, and he has no intention of exploring other options.

“I’ve always felt at home at Duke,” Cain said. “The coaching staff, the academic prestige, and the culture at Duke are a perfect fit for me. I made this commitment back in August, and I’m sticking to it. It’s where I want to be.”

Cain, who plays at Cedar Grove High School in Georgia, has quickly established himself as one of the top defensive linemen in the country.
