7-Eleven hosts 7-Eleven Day at WVU Medicine Children’s WVU Medicine Children’s and 7-Eleven came together to give a day filled with food and fun to the kids.

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WDTV) – WVU Medicine Children’s teamed up with 7-Eleven to give young patients undergoing treatment a special day filled with fun and food.

The event, held as part of 7-Eleven Day, was aimed at lifting the spirits of the children and their families during a difficult time.

“It’s a joy to be here and see the kids’ faces light up as they come in,” said Brad Sutton, a 7-Eleven area leader. “Bringing a little happiness to their day means everything.”

7-Eleven has supported WVU Medicine Children’s for three decades and raised $322,000 for the hospital in 2024 alone. That number is expected to be surpassed this year.

Sutton expressed hope that the collaboration will continue for many more years, helping even more children.

“Watching kids grow up is the best part of life,” he said. “I have a young daughter, and seeing her thrive makes meme want every child to have the same opportunity”
