LeBron James has made it clear that he does not see it as his responsibility to persuade Luka Dončić to re-sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. Following the team’s first-round playoff exit, James emphasized that Dončić’s future with the franchise is a personal decision for the 26-year-old Slovenian star.

 

“That ain’t my job,” James stated when asked about his role in influencing Dončić’s decision. He acknowledged the admiration and support from Lakers fans and teammates but reiterated that the choice about Dončić’s career path lies solely with him.
