Paige Bueckers Knows Reading Is Cool.

The WNBA and Unrivaled star is part of a new Coach campaign on the power of storytelling.

When Paige Bueckers isn’t lighting up the scoreboard with 30-point performances, she’s often immersed in a novel. The 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year and Dallas Wings guard is fronting Coach’s new “Explore Your Story” campaign, created in partnership with Penguin Random House to spotlight the influence of storytelling.

The spring initiative features short films with Bueckers and fellow global ambassadors, including Elle Fanning, Storm Reid, and musicians Soyeon, Lilas, and Shan Yichun. Each participant selected a meaningful book, which Coach transformed into miniature book charms displayed on its signature Tabby bag. Bueckers chose I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson, a coming-of-age story centered on identity, trauma, and resilience.

During the WNBA off-season, Bueckers has been competing in Unrivaled, the three-on-three league co-founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier. She values the league’s player-led structure, competitive environment, and emphasis on athlete equity, noting that it provides a platform for development and community-building outside the traditional five-on-five format.

Bueckers sees reading as a way to disconnect from the relentless pace of professional sports and technology. She says many players share her love of physical books, even forming informal team book clubs while traveling. For her, literature offers both self-reflection and growth, whether through fiction, self-help, or faith-based works.

Looking ahead to the upcoming WNBA season, Bueckers expressed confidence that labor negotiations will conclude in time for play to begin. She is eager to continue building with the Dallas Wings under new head coach Jose Fernandez and is optimistic about the team’s trajectory, including free agency moves and the draft.

Off the court, Bueckers has also drawn attention for her pregame tunnel style. She gravitates toward streetwear with a balance of masculine and feminine elements jorts, sweaters, cardigans, and collared shirts prioritizing comfort while maintaining a polished, fashion-forward edge.
