Ronnie O’Sullivan and his wife, Laila Rouass, were recently seen enjoying a romantic night out in Dubai after relocating from the UK last year.
The seven-time world snooker champion tied the knot with the actress in a private ceremony in 2025 and has since settled into life in the Middle East. Reports suggest he has adjusted smoothly to the move and is comfortable in his new surroundings.
Rouass shared highlights from their evening on Instagram, posting a clip of the couple unwinding together. The video featured “Thinking About Your Love,” the 1991 hit by Kenny Thomas. Playfully, she asked O’Sullivan how old he had been when the song was released. Flashing a thumbs-up, he joked: “One. So that must make Kenny about 85 now. Alright, Ken.” The dry remark amused Rouass, who burst into laughter.
Thomas responded in good humour on social media, writing: “Alright @ronnie. Too funny, and at times I definitely feel it. Love ya and @lailarouass.” Fans of both the snooker icon and the soul singer enjoyed the light-hearted exchange.
Speaking previously about his decision to move permanently to Dubai, O’Sullivan explained that access to a high-quality practice facility was a major factor. He had struggled to find suitable training options in the UK, often facing the choice of travelling to Sheffield or relocating there an option his wife did not favour.
According to O’Sullivan, the couple considered Spain before settling on Dubai, which he noted is better positioned for his tournament schedule and professional commitments, many of which are based in the region and Asia.
He has since embraced the lifestyle, praising the gyms, social circle, and overall environment. Though not particularly fond of sunbathing, he said he prefers warmer climates to colder ones, adding that spring and autumn are his favourite seasons.
