Legendary Metal Band Accept Releases 18th Studio Album “Rise of the Undying” and Launches Global Tour
August 25, 2025 — German heavy metal pioneers Accept have officially released their long-awaited 18th studio album, marking another milestone in the band’s five-decade career. Titled “Rise of the Undying”, the album dropped worldwide on August 23, and has already generated buzz among fans and critics alike for its signature blend of thunderous riffs, powerful vocals, and no-compromise attitude.
The release comes four years after their last studio effort, Too Mean to Die (2021), and proves that the band is far from slowing down. With founding guitarist Wolf Hoffmann leading the charge, Accept continues to evolve while remaining true to their roots — a rare feat in today’s fast-changing music landscape.
“This album is a statement,” Hoffmann said in a press release. “We’re still here, stronger than ever, and we’re not done yet. ‘Rise of the Undying’ is about perseverance, rebellion, and the fire that never goes out — just like Accept.”
The 10-track album was produced by Andy Sneap, who has worked with heavyweights like Judas Priest and Megadeth, and it’s being praised for its sharp production, tight instrumentation, and the raw energy that Accept fans have come to expect.
Songs like “Metal Never Dies,” “Undying Flame,” and “Rite of the Rebels” are already being hailed as instant classics. Vocalist Mark Tornillo, who joined the band in 2009, delivers another fierce performance, proving his place as a worthy successor to original frontman Udo Dirkschneider.
To promote the new album, Accept has also kicked off the “Rise of the Undying World Tour”, starting in Hamburg, Germany, before heading across Europe, North America, South America, and eventually Asia and Australia. The tour includes over 60 dates, with the band promising a mix of new material and timeless anthems like “Balls to the Wall,” “Fast as a Shark,” and “Restless and Wild.”
Early shows on the tour have already sold out, and fan reaction to the new songs has been overwhelmingly positive.
“Seeing the fans scream the lyrics to songs they’ve only just heard — that’s something special,” said Tornillo during an interview backstage in Stockholm. “It tells us we did something right with this record.”
Formed in 1976, Accept is widely credited as one of the bands that helped define the sound of heavy metal in the early 1980s. Despite lineup changes and the ever-evolving nature of the music industry, the band has remained remarkably consistent in their output and loyal fan base.
“Metal isn’t just music — it’s a way of life,” Hoffmann added. “And we’re proud to still be part of it.”
Rise of the Undying is now available on all major streaming platforms, CD, and vinyl. Tour dates and ticket information can be found on the band’s official website, acceptworldwide.com.
