LIVE AND DIRECT: PUMA AND USAIN BOLT LIGHT UP USA NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL
This year’s Notting Hill Carnival took an electric turn as global sportswear giant PUMA teamed up with none other than the world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt, to deliver an unforgettable Caribbean-infused celebration—live and direct in the heart of the USA edition of the iconic festival.
Held in Brooklyn, New York, the USA Notting Hill Carnival brought the spirit of London’s legendary street party across the Atlantic, blending steelpan, soca, reggae, and dancehall with the unique vibrancy of the Big Apple. But it was the explosive partnership of PUMA and Bolt that stole the spotlight, creating waves of energy that pulsed through the streets from day into night.
Bolt, a longtime PUMA ambassador and proud Jamaican, was front and center aboard the eye-catching PUMA x Caribbean Culture float. Dressed in a bold, custom PUMA tracksuit splashed with vibrant colors inspired by the Caribbean flag palette, Bolt hyped up the crowd with his signature charisma, infectious dance moves, and of course, plenty of “To Di World” poses.
“I always say, carnival is where the heart of the Caribbean comes alive,” Bolt said, speaking to the crowd. “To bring that energy here with PUMA, in front of so many people from all over the world—it’s special, man.”
PUMA’s presence was unmissable, with dancers clad in limited-edition PUMA Carnival Collection gear—feathers, sequins, and sneakers fused into one dynamic look—moving in rhythm with DJs spinning non-stop Caribbean anthems. From dancehall bangers to classic soca jump-ups, the atmosphere was a full-on celebration of Caribbean pride, fashion, and unity.
But the event was more than just music and movement. As part of PUMA’s ongoing cultural campaign, the brand set up an interactive pop-up experience along the route, offering exclusive merchandise, customization stations, and even a virtual reality booth where fans could “race” Usain Bolt in a 100-meter dash. The fusion of sport, tech, and carnival culture created an immersive brand experience that few will forget.
Local artists and vendors were also given space as part of PUMA’s commitment to community upliftment, with a portion of proceeds supporting youth sports programs in Brooklyn and the Caribbean.
Social media lit up instantly. Hashtags like #PUMAxCarnival and #BoltInBrooklyn trended within hours, with fans and influencers alike sharing footage of Bolt dancing, laughing, and celebrating his roots with undeniable joy. His presence wasn’t just celebrity fanfare—it was a meaningful connection to culture, heritage, and global unity.
In a world that often feels divided, the USA Notting Hill Carnival reminded everyone of the power of music, movement, and shared culture. With PUMA and Usain Bolt at the helm, the event became more than a street party—it was a statement.
Fast. Bold. Caribbean. LIVE AND DIRECT.
