Exclusive: Noah Lyles And Junelle Bromfield Talk Falling In Love, Wedding Plans, And Staying Unbothered
The pair open up about their Spring 2026 wedding, how friendship sparked romance, and what’s next for track and field’s power couple
Track and field stars Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield are no strangers to the spotlight. As world-class athletes with Olympic medals and global recognition under their belts, their careers have long captivated fans. But in a rare, heartfelt moment, the couple is now inviting the world into a more personal part of their journey — their love story.
In an exclusive interview, the charismatic duo opened up about how their friendship evolved into a romance, the excitement surrounding their Spring 2026 wedding, and how they’ve managed to stay grounded amid the fame.
“We were friends first — that’s the foundation of everything,” says Bromfield, the Jamaican 400m standout. “We connected over track, of course, but it was our conversations, how we supported each other through the highs and lows, that built something real.”
Lyles, the American sprint sensation and multiple-time world champion, echoes that sentiment. “It wasn’t love at first sight. It was better than that — it was love that grew out of respect, trust, and laughter. She saw me in ways others didn’t.”
The couple went public with their relationship in late 2024, drawing admiration from fans around the world. But the journey has been theirs alone, nurtured quietly amid intense training schedules, global competitions, and the pressures that come with athletic fame. “We’re both used to high stakes, but we made a commitment to prioritize each other,” Lyles says.
Their wedding, set for Spring 2026, promises to be a celebration of love and culture. “It’s going to be a mix of Jamaican and American traditions,” Bromfield reveals. “Family is everything to us, and we want the ceremony to reflect our roots, our journey, and our joy.”
Planning a wedding while preparing for the 2025 World Championships — and possibly the 2028 Olympics — hasn’t been without its challenges. “Let’s just say we’ve had some Zoom calls in between practice reps,” Lyles laughs. “But when something matters, you make it work.”
Beyond wedding plans, both athletes are focused on legacy — not just in medals, but in impact. Lyles is outspoken on mental health and athlete empowerment, while Bromfield continues to inspire with her resilience and advocacy for women in sport.
“We’re building something bigger than ourselves,” Lyles says. “It’s not just about gold medals. It’s about showing that love, strength, and vulnerability can coexist — on and off the track.”
As for how they remain unbothered by public scrutiny or pressure? “We keep our circle tight, our intentions clear, and our joy sacred,” Bromfield smiles. “We know who we are — and we know what we mean to each other.”
With a wedding on the horizon and new goals in their sights, Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield are sprinting forward — hand in hand, and completely in sync.
