The WNBA All-Star festivities are over, and now the focus shifts to the second half of the season. A few Gamecocks made headlines in the weekend’s events:
Allisha Gray aimed to repeat as Skills Challenge and Three-Point Contest champ. She made it to the final round of the 3PT contest but fell to 2023 winner Sabrina Ionescu. The Skills Challenge was won by Natasha Cloud.
In the All-Star Game, Gray scored 18 points in just 16 minutes, all from three-point range (5-for-12).
Aliyah Boston logged 18 minutes, contributing 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. Bigs had limited involvement in the free-flowing format.
A’ja Wilson, nursing a wrist injury, was limited to 12 minutes, with 4 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.
