German heavy metal veterans Accept are hitting the road once again in support of their latest studio album, Humanoid, while also gearing up for a major milestone: their 50th anniversary in 2026. Known for iconic anthems like “Balls to the Wall,” “Fast as a Shark,” and “Metal Heart,” Accept have long been a staple of the heavy metal genre, and their current activity proves they’re far from slowing down.

Humanoid, released in April 2024, marks the band’s 17th studio album and continues the sonic legacy that fans have come to expect—powerful riffs, thunderous rhythms, and the commanding voice of frontman Mark Tornillo, who has been with the group since 2009. The album was produced by longtime collaborator Andy Sneap, who has also worked with Judas Priest, Testament, and Saxon. Tracks such as “Humanoid” and “The Reckoning” blend traditional heavy metal with contemporary themes, addressing the role of technology in society while staying true to Accept’s signature sound.

Currently, the band is on a world tour in support of Humanoid, hitting festivals and headlining shows across Europe, North America, and South America throughout 2024 and 2025. Their live performances have been praised for their energy and precision, showcasing the band’s tight musicianship and stage presence, honed over five decades.

But perhaps the most exciting news for longtime fans is what’s coming in 2026. Accept will be celebrating their 50th anniversary, a rare feat for any band, let alone one in the hard-hitting world of heavy metal. As part of this historic celebration, the band is planning a special anniversary tour as well as a commemorative album featuring re-recorded versions of their classic tracks. These updated renditions will feature the current lineup, giving new life to legendary songs from their catalog while preserving the original spirit of the music.

Founding guitarist Wolf Hoffmann, the only remaining original member, remains the creative force behind the band. In recent interviews, Hoffmann has expressed enthusiasm for revisiting the old material and celebrating the band’s legacy with fans worldwide. “It’s amazing to think it’s been 50 years,” he said. “We’ve gone through different eras, different lineups, but the metal spirit has never left us. This anniversary is not just about looking back—it’s about showing that Accept is still a force in heavy metal.”

The 50th-anniversary album is expected to include fan favorites from across all eras of the band’s history, reinterpreted through the lens of their current lineup. The tour accompanying the release will span multiple continents, offering fans a chance to relive the classics and experience the new power of Accept in 2026.

With their relentless work ethic and a discography that has shaped generations of metal musicians, Accept continues to prove why they remain one of the genre’s most enduring and respected acts. As the countdown to their golden anniversary begins, fans old and new can look forward to a celebration worthy of heavy metal royalty.
