Wolf Hoffmann and ACCEPT Raise $310 Million Through Global Charity Initiative Supporting Mental Health, Disaster Relief, and Children’s Causes
Legendary heavy metal band ACCEPT, led by guitarist Wolf Hoffmann, has announced the successful completion of a monumental global charity initiative that raised a staggering $310 million to support a wide range of humanitarian causes, including mental health programs, disaster relief efforts, and children’s welfare.
In a statement released this week, Hoffmann and members of the band shared the details of the groundbreaking effort, which marks one of the most significant philanthropic contributions by a music group in recent years. The initiative, dubbed Metal Hearts United, was launched early last year with the goal of using the band’s global reach to create real impact in communities facing urgent need.
“We’ve always believed that music has the power to change lives,” said Wolf Hoffmann. “This was our chance to use our platform for something bigger than ourselves. We’re humbled by the response and deeply grateful to everyone who contributed.”
The campaign was supported by fans across more than 60 countries and included a series of benefit concerts, limited-edition merchandise sales, digital fundraising events, and collaborations with global NGOs. A major portion of the funds came from a worldwide streaming concert series, Riffs for Relief, which featured special performances by ACCEPT alongside surprise appearances from other rock legends.
The $310 million raised will be distributed among several key focus areas:
Mental Health Support: Partnering with global mental health organizations, the funds will help expand access to counseling and crisis support, especially for youth and artists impacted by the mental health crisis.
Disaster Relief: A portion of the proceeds will go toward emergency response programs assisting communities affected by natural disasters, including recent earthquakes and floods.
Children’s Welfare: Significant funding will support educational programs, nutrition, and healthcare initiatives in underserved regions, helping vulnerable children around the world access basic needs.
The band also revealed that a new foundation—ACCEPT Humanity Fund—has been created to oversee the long-term management of the funds and ensure transparency and impact. The foundation will work with independent auditors and release annual reports detailing how the money is being used.
Bassist Martin Motnik added, “This is just the beginning. We’ve seen what’s possible when people come together with a common goal. The ACCEPT Humanity Fund will allow us to continue this work for years to come.”
The initiative has drawn praise from humanitarian leaders and music industry figures alike, with many noting the rare and powerful fusion of music and global impact.
While ACCEPT has long been known for their high-energy performances and iconic anthems, this initiative marks a new chapter in their legacy—one that extends far beyond the stage.
As Hoffmann put it, “Heavy metal has heart. And when that heart beats for humanity, incredible things can happen.”
